The Best Social Media Marketing Strategies in 2018
Just a few years ago, you could get away with building a social media marketing strategy on the fly. As long as you were present, you were doing more than your competitors–right?
Well it’s 2018 and not much of the same logic applies today. With 30% of millennials saying they engage with a brand on social at least once a month, your strategy can’t be only about existence. Brands must be fully invested in their social media marketing strategies and focus on engagement. Otherwise, you’ll lose out on real customers, which means serious effects on your bottom line.
We’re not here to scare your brand into the world of social media. Instead, we want to provide your marketing team with the right steps to take toward a successful social strategy so your brand isn’t left in the dust.
Here are the 7 steps to create the best social media marketing strategy in 2018:
1. Create Social Media Marketing Goals That Solve Your Biggest Challenges
The first step to any strategy is to understand what you want out of your efforts. Social media marketing isn’t about flipping a switch and calling it a day. Instead, social media planning should be looked at like cooking your favorite dish.
Once you have your ingredients, you follow a recipe and presto! But that’s not always the case. What if you have guests and need to feed more people? What if someone is allergic to one of the ingredients? Suddenly, your goal goes from making a meal to ensuring it will feed enough people and be edible by all.
That’s why creating goals is so critical to the first part of your social media strategy. At the same time, it’s best to set goals that you know are attainable. Asking for 1 million new Instagram followers in 2018 is unrealistic. With achievable goals, you’re more likely to stick to the original plan and continue to take on new hurdles as you complete old ones.
This is the same reason why brands should never take on every social media channel possible in their current marketing strategy. Try to choose the channels that have the most importance based on your brand’s goals. Avoid over complicating a strategy with too many targets and objectives. Simplicity can take you a long way.
And also, don’t forget to document your social media goals. Not only is it important to help you benchmark where you are, but it also improves your chances of achieving them. According to some statistics, people who write their goals down are 30 times more successful.
Social Media Goals to Consider in 2018
Goal setting is a staple of all marketing and business strategies. Social media is no exception. Of course, with a range of social capabilities, it can be difficult to determine exactly what your objectives should be. For guidance, here are some common social media goals to consider:
- Increase brand awareness: To create authentic and lasting brand awareness, avoid a slew of promotional messages. Instead, focus on meaningful content and a strong brand personality through your social channels.
- Higher quality of sales: Digging through your social channels is nearly impossible without monitoring or listening to specific keywords, phrases or hashtags. Through more efficient social media targeting, you reach your core audience much faster.
- Drive in-person sales: Some retailers rely on social media marketing efforts to drive in-store sales. Is your brand promoting enough on social to reward those who come to you? What about alerting customers to what’s going on in your stores?
- Improve ROI: There’s not a brand on social media that doesn’t want to increase its return on investment. But on social, this goal is specific to performing a thorough audit of your channels and ensuring cost of labor, advertisements and design stay on track.
- Create a loyal fanbase: Does your brand promote user-generated content? Do your followers react positively without any initiation? Getting to this point takes time and effort with creating a positive brand persona on social.
- Better pulse on the industry: What are your competitors doing that seems to be working? What strategies are they using to drive engagement or sales? Having a pulse on the industry could simply help you improve your efforts and take some tips from those doing well.
2. Research Your Social Media Audience
Approximately 79% of adults use Facebook–but are your customers actively engaging with your brand there? Understanding your audience is necessary to learn things like who buys your products, what age group is the toughest to sell and what income level makes up the most of your returning customers? As for social media, it’s just as critical to know your audience.
First, your brand should look into the demographics of your most valuable social channels. Like we mentioned before, you should have a goal in mind for your social media marketing strategy. This is why you need to research the channels that correlate the most with your goals.
To help you find your focus channels: let’s take a quick look at the essential demographics data for each major network:
- Facebook’s most popular demographics include:
- Women users (89%)
- 18-29 year olds (88%)
- Urban- and rural-located users (81% each)
- Those earning less than $30,000 (84%)
- Users with some college experience (82%)
- Instagram’s most popular demographics include:
- Women users (38%)
- 18-29 year olds (59%),
- Urban-located users (39%)
- Those earning less than $30,000 (38%)
- Users with some college experience (37%)
- Twitter’s most popular demographics include:
- Women users (25%)
- 18-29 year olds (36%)
- Urban-located users (26%)
- Those earning $50,000-$74,999 (28%)
- Users with college experience or more (29%)
- LinkedIn’s most popular demographics include:
- Men users (31%)
- 18-29 year olds (34%)
- Urban-located users (34%)
- Those earning $75,000 or more (45%)
- Users with college experience or more (50%)
- Snapchat and other auto-delete app’s most popular demographics include:
- Men users (24%)
- 18-29 year olds (56%)
- Those earning less than $50,000 (27%)
- Users with some college experience (27%)

Identifying Customer Demographics
While the demographics data above gives you insight into each channel, what about your own customers? Further analysis has to be completed before you can truly know your customer demographics on social media.
That’s why many brands use a social media dashboard that can provide an overview of who’s following you and how they interact with you on each channel. Most brands today are using at least some sort of dashboard. However, does your dashboard address your specific goals?
Whether you’re an agency providing insights for your clients or an enterprise company discovering your own demographics, an all-in-one dashboard solution is critical.

3. Establish Your Most Important Metrics
While your targeted social media metrics might be the most important step of a strategy, it’s often the spot most veer off the path. Vanity metrics like follower count and likes are always good to measure, but does it tell you the whole story of your brand on social media?
We often get wrapped up in viewing followers and likes as the truth to a campaign, but it’s smart to take a step back and evaluate the social metrics associated with your overall goals.
Engagement metrics sometimes paint a better picture, because as we’ve mentioned many times here, building lasting relationships works on social. Large audiences and likable content is absolutely great, but here are some other metrics you might want to pursue in 2018:
- Reach: Post reach is the number of unique users who saw your post. How far is your content spreading across social? Is it actually reaching user’s feeds?
- Clicks: This is the amount of clicks on your content, company name or logo. Link clicks are critical toward understanding how users move through your marketing funnel. Tracking clicks per campaign is essential to understand what drives curiosity or encourages people to buy.
- Engagement: The total number of social interactions divided by number of impressions. For engagement, it’s about seeing who interacted and if it was a good ratio out of your total reach. This sheds light on how well your audience perceives you and their willingness to interact.
- Hashtag performance: What were your most used hashtags on your own side? Which hashtags were most associated with your brand? Or what hashtags created the most engagement?
- Sentiment: This is the measurement of how users reacted to your content, brand or hashtag. Did customers find your recent campaign offensive? What type of sentiment are people associating with your campaign hashtag? It’s always better to dig deeper and find what people are saying.
- Organic and paid likes: More than just standard Likes, these likes are defined from paid or organic content. For channels like Facebook, organic engagement is much harder to gain traction, which is why many brands turn to Facebook Ads. However, earning organic likes on Instagram isn’t quite as difficult.
4. Research Your Social Competitive Landscape
Before you start creating content (we promise we’re almost there!), it’s really smart to investigate your competitors. We put this before the content creation process because you often find new ways to look at content by analyzing what’s making your competitors successful.
Again, we’ll always believe you shouldn’t steal your competitors ideas, but instead learn and grow from their success and failures. So how do you find that information? The first step is to find out who’s your competition in the first place.
The simplest way to find competitors is through a simple Google search. Look up your most valuable keywords, phrases and industry terms to see who shows up. For example, if you sold various soaps, “handmade natural soaps” would be a great keyword to investigate:
You can exclude the major retailers like Amazon and Bath & Body Works. Search for those who show up who are in your specific industry. Next you want to see who is active on social.
As you can see, Wild Soap has an active social presence, which means they’re a great candidate to track. After gathering a handful of industry competitors, it’s smart to use a social media competitive analysis tool like Sprout Social to track Facebook and Instagram content.
Here you can see post break downs of text, images and video to see what your competitors are doing to drive the most engagement. Once you dig through the competitive analysis, you’ll have a better idea of what your potential customers want.
5. Build & Curate Engaging Social Media Content
Did someone say content? It’s no lie–social media content is extremely important to your marketing strategy. However, it’s best to follow the previous steps before planning out content (we caught you, blog skippers!) so you can start building more effective themes.
For starters, we recommend creating content that fits to your brand’s identity. This means you should avoid things like reaching out to your unpopular demographics without a complete strategy in place.
It’s necessary to find the perfect balance between target content and being overly promotional as well. In fact, 46% of users say they’ll unfollow a brand if there’s too many promotional messages. Additionally, 41% of users say they’d unfollow a brand that shared too much irrelevant content.
Video Content or Bust
How important is video to your SOCIAL MEDOA MARKETING strategy? Extremely–approximately 90% of online shoppers believe product videos help them make a purchasing decision. Additionally, the average online video is completely watched end to end by 37% of viewers.
These type of stats should only enforce your reasoning to invest in social media video content. Brands can reach users through Instagram Stories, Facebook Live and other in-the-moment media.
Build Content Themes
One of the toughest challenges to visual content is creating it on a day-to-day basis. A Venngage infographic showed 36.7% of marketers said their No.1 struggle with creating visual content was doing so consistently.
This truly shows how important highly-visual content is to marketers and the people they want to reach. That’s why building content themes is a great approach to sectioning out your content. Instagram is one your premier channels to work off visual themes.
Anthropologie does an amazing job at keeping their Instagram feed consistent, colorful and eye-popping. Work in content themes to ensure you have a consistent schedule of excellent content to publish.
6. Engage With Your Audience & Don’t Ignore
Social media channels are built as networks. This means their main purpose is to be a space to converse, discuss topics and share content. Your brand can’t forget these core elements of “networking” and it takes effort to ensure conversations or engagement opportunities aren’t left unattended.
Through social media, you gain respect as a brand by just being present and talking to your audience. That’s why social customer care is so important to brands wanting to increase audience awareness. It’s all about engagement.
For example, Seamless does a wonderful job of not only responding, but showing customer care is priority. Through the right social media monitoring tools, you can find instances across all your channels to interact, respond and gauge customer service inquiries.
Designating teams to specific tasks can help your staff run like a well-oiled social media team, whether you’re a group of one or 100.
Post at the Best Times to Engage
When is your brand available to engage and interact with customers? You might see some recommending times to post late in the evening. But if your brand isn’t there to communicate, what’s the point of posting at the preferred time?
Instead, try to ensure your social media or community managers are available and ready to answer any product questions or concerns when you tweet or post. It’s smart to learn the best times to post on social media, but it’s just as critical to engage after posting.
According to our Index, a brand’s average response time is around 10 hours. But did you know that most users believe brands should respond to social media messages within four hours?
With all the updated algorithms, organic content has a tough time reaching the majority of your audience. The last thing you want to do is ignore those who engage and lose out on sending more down your marketing funnel.
7. Track Your Efforts & Always Improve
So, how well did you do on your social media marketing strategy? Without continuously analyzing your efforts, you’ll never know how one campaign did over another. Having a bird’s-eye-view of your social media activity helps put things into perspective.
You’ve got down your most important goals, network preferences and metrics–now it’s time to make sure you made the right decisions. Knowing you’ve made the right choices is still a difficult task in social media.
In fact, 46% of B2B marketers are unsure if their social strategy actually created revenue for their brand. But marketers are always trying and looking for the perfect connection. That’s why the most commonly used metric (80%) for marketers is engagement.
If you work at building lasting relationships, there’s a lot less room for failure with your social media marketing strategy.
Use a Tool to Track Success
Sprout Social was created with social media marketing in mind. Our social media tools offer a full suite of analytics and reporting features to help you pinpoint exactly which posts, messages and hashtags perform the best.
It’s easy to connect other critical tools to our dashboard like Google Analytics, which helps you see which posts drove the most traffic, conversions and overall revenue.

Choosing A Marketing Company Orlando: Three Great Tips
Marketing is a delicate process. There are a lot of moving parts to the machine, and if you’re not from the industry, it can all seem a little intimidating.
Luckily, there’s always professional help. If you need marketing services in Orlando, you can always Google “marketing company Orlando” and find someone with the skills, experience, and resources to do a great job. And they’ll do it, on your behalf.
But what if you choose the wrong team? Or you’re not clear enough with your goals? What if the whole thing goes off the rails and you don’t get what you wanted out of it?
Today, we’re going to run through three things you need to know before choosing a marketing team for your business. Hopefully, this will take you from wary and trepidatious to ready to market your socks right off.
Ready to get your name out there? Not so fast – let’s look at what you’ll need to know ahead of time.
Know Your Goals
As with any big-budget investment, you have to go into digital marketing with a clear idea of, well, what it is you actually want from your marketing.
Not only is this important to saving you time and getting the results you want, but it also helps to keep the agency honest. It makes sense. If you bought a car with only a budget and no idea of what car you actually wanted, the first thing someone would do would be to sell you the most expensive car out there. Similarly, while we would love every agency to be completely transparent, the quickest way to waste money is to come in with only a vague idea in mind.
And while you’re at it, take some time to learn about their services. Are they a one-stop outlet for digital marketing services, or are their services specialized? Do you want dedicated service from them, or could you use a splash of their SEO added to your existing marketing base? And, if they don’t provide the service you need, do they use trusted partners to create that service?
And are you okay with that?
Ultimately, it comes down to doing your homework and understanding what you want to get out of it before you get started.
Research Their Previous Clients
Any time you hire an outside agency to represent your business in any way, you need to take a look at their previous clients.
Ask to speak with their references, especially when those clients are from your industry or industries like yours. Ask to see reviews, whether new or old, and ask to see them where they are online.
If you search for “marketing company Orlando” and there are Google reviews, you’re on the right track. You’ll know that someone went out of their way, logged in, opened up a text window, and wrote out their feelings. And nobody does that unless they are either very impressed or extremely upset.
Either way, you’ll get the answer you’re looking for.
Meet Their Team (And Make Sure You Get Along)
A marketing agency Orlando, no matter how they do business, boils down to a team of people, with a set of skills, who will apply those skills to your unique work.
And when you bring together any group of people to do things on your behalf, you’ve got to know who they are. What kinds of personalities have you got doing your work for you? What kind of approach do they take to an average workday? And do you like them?
Because, if you don’t connect with the people doing your marketing, that’s a taxing weekly meeting, and more chance of conflict when things go wrong. You have to make sure you make a connection with the people doing your work. Even if you don’t spend brunches with them or see them over the holidays, you need to make sure you are working with a team you like enough to work consistently with them.
Marketing Company Orlando: A Fine-Tuned Instrument
Working with a marketing company Orlando is a lucrative venture that can change the way your business connects with potential clients. But, like any venture worth the effort, it’s something you have to spend time researching and getting right before you go with it.
With the three points above, you’ll be on the path to finding the agency for you.

Apple, Paul Manafort, Pope Francis: Your Friday Briefing
(Want to get this briefing by email? Here’s the sign-up.)
Good morning. The prospect of dirtier cars in the U.S., an interview cut short in China, and a policy change from the pope. Here’s what you need to know:
• The Trump administration released a proposal to drastically weaken Obama-era rules that would have sharply increased auto fuel efficiency and therefore reduced greenhouse gas emissions from one of the world’s largest producers.
A mix of state governments, environmentalists and consumer groups is fighting the plan.
And even the automakers who had complained about the expense of raising fuel efficiency plan to lobby for changes, fearing that legal challenges could leave them in limbo, or split the domestic market into more and less stringent sectors.
The administration sought to emphasize that lighter, more efficient cars would be more dangerous in crashes, but experts dispute that.
• The trillion-dollar company.
In 1997, Apple was on the verge of running out of cash. Two decades later, the company is unimaginably flush, reaching a market capitalization of $1 trillion. That’s just $200 billion shy of Australia’s entire annual economic output.
The company was propelled to planetary dominance by the vision of its late co-founder, Steve Jobs, and by smash-hit products like the iPod and then the iPhone. Above, Mr. Jobs’s successor, Tim Cook.
But let’s not forget cheap global labor — much of it in China, now embroiled in a trade war with the U.S. that could affect Apple’s supply chain.
And, as one analyst put it, “The question going forward is: Can Apple continue to innovate?”
• “A culture of death is spreading across Kashmir.”
Our reporter found resentment of India at every corner in the disputed territory, neighbors turning against neighbors.
Imran Khan, Pakistan’s presumed new prime minister, says he wants to end the nuclear-tipped struggle with India over control of the predominantly Muslim region.
But Kashmiris are smoldering with anger as India veers increasingly into Hindu nationalism and brings down an iron fist on separatists, who are lionized by many.
• President Trump wants to talk.
He is eager to sit down for an interview with investigators for the special counsel Robert Mueller, several people familiar with the matter told our reporters, even though his lawyers advise against it. Mr. Trump is confident that he can exonerate himself of any suspicions that he colluded with Russia in the 2016 election or obstructed justice.
And the tax and money-laundering trial of Mr. Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort, above, is shining a light on a lucrative Washington sideline: that of American consultants doing the bidding of foreign clients.
Such lobbying was on full display with the Chinese tech giant ZTE, which hired Washington guns to beat back U.S. sanctions.
• “It’s illegal for you to come to my home. I have my freedom of speech!”
Sun Wenguang, a veteran Chinese rights activist in his 80s, protested as police officers burst into his home during a live TV interview with Voice of America Mandarin. The telephone line soon went dead, and Mr. Sun could not be reached again.
“This is the status quo of human rights in China,” the host said.
But the #MeToo phenomenon is proving resilient: Two monks accused a powerful Buddhist official, the Venerable Xuecheng, of sexually harassing at least two female disciples.
In denying the allegations, the official has been helped by China’s state censorship apparatus, which is scrubbing any mention of the matter.
• Starbucks, under pressure from new competitors in China, announced a partnership with the tech giant Alibaba aimed at streamlining deliveries.
• The Bank of England raised interest rates to their highest levels in nearly a decade, seeking to tamp down inflation and prepare for Britain’s exit from the E.U.
• Unacceptable in all cases: Pope Francis declared the death penalty “an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person,” a categorical revision of Roman Catholic teaching that could put pressure on Catholic lawmakers and politicians around the world. [The New York Times]
• In Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, who seized power from President Robert Mugabe in a coup last year after serving as his enforcer for decades, took a clear lead in the presidential election, which has been shadowed by suspicions of fraud and some violence. [The New York Times]
• Gone: Minutes after the Fields Medal — the equivalent of a Nobel Prize in mathematics — was awarded to a former refugee, the golden prize was stolen in Brazil. (Among the three other winners was the Australian Akshay Venkatesh.) [The New York Times]
• A court in the Maldives cleared two men in the disappearance of a dissident journalist, an outcome that the country’s opposition leader condemned. The missing journalist, Ahmed Rilwan Abdulla, had criticized the authoritarian government and the spread of radical Islam in the small island nation. [The New York Times]
• Test tampering: A news investigation found that Tokyo Medical University lowered women’s scores on entrance exams to suppress their enrollment. [The Yomiuri Shimbun]
• A South Korean pastor was arrested in Seoul amid accusations that she stranded 400 followers in Fiji, where they had been subjected to violent rituals. [The Guardian]
• “Excessive”: A Chinese provincial government criticized a local effort to make cremation universal for the dead, during which thousands of coffins were destroyed and at least one corpse was exhumed. [The New York Times]
Tips for a more fulfilling life.
• Markets, elephants and temples are the mainstays of Chiang Mai, the 700-year-old city in Thailand’s north. But now there are new draws: contemporary art and chic hotels, plus ambitious upstart restaurants and a buzzing bar district.
• Matti, a socially awkward stick figure in a Finnish cartoon series, is becoming a kind of hero to China’s introverts. “As an anthropophobic, I love this series so much,” a college student in Shenzen says.
• Good dog? An experiment involving 34 dogs of various breeds tested whether they would push through a door to “save” their owners. The results were … mixed. Watch the video here.
If anyone could prove that age is nothing but a number, it was Maggie Kuhn.
The activist and founder of the Gray Panthers, an American advocacy organization for the elderly, was born on this day in Buffalo in 1905.
In 1970, after working for the Presbyterian Church in New York for a quarter of a century, Miss Kuhn retired, having reached the mandatory retirement age of 65.
As a result, she worked with fellow retirees to start a group that would be called the Gray Panthers (a reference to the Black Panthers), which worked to bridge the gap between the young and the old and addressed other social issues.
“I’m an old woman,” she told The Times in 1972. “I have gray hair, many wrinkles and arthritis in both hands. And I celebrate my freedom from bureaucratic restraints that once held me.”
She embraced her age and was unapologetic about it.
On her 85th birthday, she told a group of seniors in Vermont in 1991: “I made a sacred vow that I would do something outrageous, at least once a week.”

Look For These Essentials From Marketing Companies Orlando
If you’re in the market for effective business marketing, the sheer range of choices can seem more than a little daunting. It’s a process with a lot of potential for improving your profits and twice as many avenues to try out. Whether you go SEO, social media marketing, or PPC marketing, or some combination of those, you need an agency that knows what they’re doing and how to use it for you.
Today, we’ll be putting marketing companies Orlando under the microscope, with three essential elements to look out for when you pick a digital marketing service!
A Focus On Customer Needs Over Quick Numbers
Marketing, in any form, is an exciting process. There are potential clients out there in the millions, and thousands of opportunities to reach them with your brand.
That said, when your marketing team becomes too focused on huge numbers, mindblowing websites, and industry-breaking online presences, it can be easy to lose track of the little things.
And rushing to buy ads, acquire traffic, and play the digital shark can land a brand in trouble, as well. Much like building a house, without a good foundation you can end up paying in the long run. More minor initial changes in your conversion rates and email capture, for example, can become reliable pillars to base your later numbers on.
Once you’ve got a better digital project, there’ll be plenty of time to buy views.
A Complete SEO Audit and Regular Updates
Sun Tzu famously said: “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.”
When you start your journey towards effective digital marketing, you have to start with a solid understanding of what your website is at the beginning. You might know your product isn’t performing as well as it should, but it’s important to know why it’s underperforming.
You need a complete SEO audit of your site, to start with. This will outline your strengths and weaknesses and help quantify any improvements you make. From here, you can use search engine optimization to put your brand within reach of more people, social media to innovate, and email marketing to boost your numbers.
Once this is in place, experts recommend spending time once a quarter updating your SEO. The nature of the beast with Google’s algorithm is turnover, with hundreds of updates a year. Marketing companies Orlando or anywhere else should be conducting regular research and updates to their keywords, or you run the risk of falling out of touch with what’s happening in the world around you.
Blogging For Lead Generation
When it comes to SEO, some things are eternal. And there’s nothing more perennial to digital marketing than good, solid SEO blogging.
Relevant, optimized content posted consistently is extremely important to Orlando SEO Services and organic digital marketing. When your website is a home to valuable content, you create a striking point for driving more traffic to the site itself. Visitors find your brand via content. They stay for your brand when they find more content.
When your Orlando marketing agency downplays the importance of content and blogging, it can be a serious sign of shortsightedness. Blogging gives a voice to your brand, and consumers will be more likely to buy when they consider the brand authentic.
Marketing Companies Orlando: Ask For More
Making an investment in your brand’s marketing is a big commitment. It takes two things: an understanding of what you want from your marketing, and the right agency.

Paid blockchain qualifications
For something a bit more marketable there are a number of paid online blockchain qualifications that award the successful student a well-recognized certification.
Blockchain Council – Certified Blockchain Expert (CBE)
Time: 2-3 hours
This course claims to offer ‘exhaustive training’ in the blockchain space, although considering it also says it can be done in 2-3 hours makes me wonder how much depth it goes into. However, reviews on the course seem positive and it does award you with a certificate as a Certified Blockchain Expert on completion of the one-hour exam. How well recognized the certificate is remains to be seen.
If you’re short on time though and want to add something blockchain-related to your CV, this could be a good option. A basic knowledge of computer science and cryptocurrency awareness is a requirement.
University at Buffalo – Blockchain Specialization Certificate

This certificate in Blockchain Specialization is offered by the University at Buffalo and can be completed through the Coursera online platform. It covers Blockchain Basics, Smart Contracts, DApps and Blockchain Platforms. Each section is assigned four weeks to complete with three and a half hours per week of work, although I imagine this could be done much quicker if you have more spare time.
The courses can also be done individually and separate individual certificates in each area are offered. There are on average four to eight videos, three readings and three quizzes per week with every course.
IBM – Blockchain 101 Kick Starter
This IBM course is more of a practical online business building platform. It teaches candidates how to kick-start a blockchain network of their own using the open-source Hyperledger Fabric framework. “With their world-renowned MOOC and graduate programs in this cutting-edge field, the University of Nicosia is blazing a trail for future FinTech business leaders.”

Orlando Marketing Agency: Finding The Right Fit
Marketing is an extremely personal service to invest in. After all, you’re putting the name, image, and reputation of your business in the hands of someone else and trusting them not to drop you. It’s not unlike leaving your kids with a babysitter for the first time, based on a recommendation.
You’ve got to make sure you get the right fit for you because, with a well-targeted marketing campaign, a company can dominate their competition online. And with a bad one, you could end up completely forgotten in the digital market.
Today, we’ll be taking a look at three surefire tips for finding an Orlando marketing agency that works for you.
What To Look For In An Orlando Marketing Agency
Professional Expertise and Experience
At a very basic level, any marketing agency you work with should have at least some degree of experience and expertise with the processes you need for marketing. This is why portfolios are so important: they showcase a company’s ability to work within the boundaries of a project like yours, and to finish the job.
Always insist on seeing previous work. Orlando SEO services from a digital marketer are all fair and well, but you need to know they’ve ever actually provided those services to anyone in Orlando before.
An Eye On The Future
When you give an agency your time, you should be able to expect a little of theirs in return. They need to be able to bring some sort of vision of how your two brands will work together, both now and in the future. And that takes planning and a halfway decent understanding of the brand they’ll be working with.
Look for marketers that understand your current marketing, and bring strategic insights into how you can achieve your goals.
If you understand how your pit crew works, you’ll know better how to race your car. The same goes for your marketing team – you need to be brought up to speed with the tools and resources they will be using. You’ll gain an understanding of how they plan on helping you meet your goals, but also into how realistic their plans are.
Remember: not everyone is trying to make a quick buck. Some people are just bad at their jobs. Make sure your Orlando marketing agency fills you in on how they’ll be achieving their results, so you know how much (or how little) they’re capable of achieving.
It may feel pedantic to be worried about such small parts of the process, but when you get professional SEO marketing, the results will be well worth it.

Crypto Stock Exchange Operator Pleads Guilty to Fraud
The man behind two now-defunct cryptocurrency investment sites has pled guilty to securities fraud and obstruction of justice charges.
The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York announced the guilty plea on Monday, coming days after it was reported that Montroll was close to a deal with prosecutors. Jon Montroll was arrested back in February by U.S. authorities, as CoinDesk reported at the time, in connection with securities investment platform BitFunder and crypto exchange site WeExchange.
Montroll was accused of running an unregistered securities exchange, as well as providing info to investigators that was described as “misleading.” Montroll also allegedly “converted a portion of WeExchange users’ bitcoins to his personal use without the users’ knowledge or consent,” according to a statement published Monday.
He notably was accused of lying about the number of bitcoins available to BitFunder and WeExchange users after the latter was hacked, as well as committing perjury while testifying to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
WeExchange lost around 6,000 bitcoins at the time of the hack, which left the platform insolvent, as previously reported.
Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman said in a statement Monday:
“As he admitted today, Jon Montroll deceived his investors and then attempted to deceive the SEC. He repeatedly lied during sworn testimony and misled SEC staff to avoid taking responsibility for the loss of thousands of his customers’ bitcoins.”
Though the case was originally brought by the SEC, the FBI and Southern District of New York Attorney’s office prosecuted Montroll under criminal charges. U.S. District Judge Richard Berman will sentence Montroll at an undetermined future date.

Three Reasons Quality Orlando SEO Services Are Worth The Investment
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) services have become an indispensable part of the modern marketing package. The benefits of dominating a search term for your industry have been proven again and again.
And still, while most businesses acknowledge its importance, they’ll bristle when you tell them the average price of this service.
While “expensive” is a relative term, the truth is there is a price attached to good Orlando SEO services. And it can add up, depending on how much you have done and how good the work is.
As luck would have it, it’s also completely worth it.
Orlando SEO Services: You Get What You Pay For
Link Audits Are An Investment
Link audits are part of a process where SEO professionals look at the quality of the inbound and outbound links associated with your website. Not all links are created equal, after all. And when there are broken or unhealthy ones on your website, these can affect your ranking quite severely.
Manual auditing is really the only real surefire way to carry this task out, in spite of the automated services out there. It is labor-intensive and tedious, and the manpower alone is often worth thousands of dollars to some agencies.
The end result, a full audit, is invaluable only in that it’s incredibly useful. From a business perspective, however, it’s actually worth quite a lot, to both you and the person providing it.
Link Clean-Ups Are Worth A Lot Of Money
Once your link audit has turned up its toxic links, you’ll have to set about the task of removing them. You can start by disavowing harmful backlinks, but it’s not enough to stop there.
To regain your rankings and dig your way back up from the damage harmful links can cause, you have to manually request each link’s removal. This is the kind of thing that doesn’t take too long per link but can be time-consuming when removing multiple bad links. Google registers when these kinds of links are completely removed and when they are simply disavowed, hence the high price tag on manually removing them.
Website Penalties Can Demolish Traffic
Google’s website penalties can be harsh and swift in cases where websites transgress their strict guidelines. The resultant loss in standing from the search engine’s rankings are often directly linked to the website’s revenue, and (as we’ve mentioned), it can take a long time to recover.
Low-quality, cheaper SEO often leads down a quick path to search penalties. And, once you’ve been penalized, the damage is often done (at least for the time being). In a worst case scenario, having your website de-indexed could lead to a decline in brand stability and cost you in a way that’s hard to bounce back from.
You need an expert – someone who’ll take your SEO project seriously.

Introducing The Room8 Button
The Room8 Button
Call button systems like those in hospitals have traditionally been the best option for sending alerts in medical settings. Patients recovering from surgeries or illnesses have to stay in bed, rest their voices, and not strain themselves.
Hence, hospital call buttons. But these devices almost always require extensive installations, dedicated networks, and expensive setups. They’re essential systems, especially in these environments, but establishing them can be difficult.
The Room8 Button is a direct response to this need. The device uses a single button to send a simple alert notice to an associated device. Each unit is wireless, battery powered, and versatile enough to be paired with phones, tablets, and other smart devices, whether Android or iOS. And the installation process is as difficult as pairing any standard WiFi device to your home or office network.
Clients can push a button on the discrete, handheld unit and a signal will come through to your phone or tablet. There’s no need to call out or get up, and you won’t ever have to worry about commissioning some huge call button system for your otherwise small acupuncture facility or facial clinic.
The Room8 Button is an elegant solution and we’re excited to tell you more about it. For more information, visit Room8 today!
New York Today: Are Electric Scooters Legal?
Bird and Lime are among the electric scooter start-ups leading the craze in Los Angeles and San Francisco, “but in New York City, it’s still anyone’s market,” Ms. Kaufman said.
The biggest obstacle here: There’s no place for scooters, physically.
“They’re too fast for the sidewalk, they’re too slow for traffic, and they’re too slow for bike lanes, so there isn’t a safe space for them,” Ms. Kaufman said. (Most can go up to 15 miles per hour.) “The focus here is on backless bikes and electric-assist bikes because those are the speeds of New York.”
Even so, exploring travel alternatives remains top-of-mind for some city residents. With the L train shutdown less than a year away, scooters could offer “a great advantage” to those affected, according to Ms. Kaufman, who led a Rudin Center report on ways to mitigate commutes during the closure of the subway line.
“We’re going to have hundreds of thousands of people needing to find new modes of transportation,” she said. “Because there will be overcrowding on other subway lines, we might as well provide a variety of modes like rideshare and bus-bridges and, of course, bike share. However, not every person can or is willing to ride a bike.”
Scooters have a lower barrier to entry, she added.
“You’re generally not scooting in traffic — you’re generally on the sidewalk — and it’s easier to learn to navigate a scooter, and you don’t necessarily need a helmet like you do with a bike,” she said, “so people see it as an easier mode. A faster mode than walking, but not as labor intensive or stressful as biking.”
